Thayne, Wyoming, in the heart of Star Valley, is surrounded by three National Forests, is just a short drive from a National Park and is near world-class resorts. If you are looking for a relaxing environment near some of the world’s best natural attractions, Thayne is the place for you.
Our valley is fed by seven mountain lakes, three major rivers and numerous pure water springs, creeks, and streams flowing into a twenty-mile long lake. As one fellow says, “When you take a drink of water in this valley, you’re the first one to use it.”
Thayne is one of the best places in the Northwest for family reunions, and it is filled with plenty of options for your next outdoor adventure.
The lakes, rivers, and streams provide premier fishing for Cutthroat trout, German Browns, Brookies, Rainbows, Mackinaw and the unappreciated Mt. White Fish. This fabulous water resource also provides access to boating, water skiing, jet skiing, white water rafting, kayaking, sailboarding and more.
